Bayview Addiction Treatment Center (ATC) provides residential treatment for males between the ages of 12 and 18.
The length of stay is approximately 90 days, depending on progress in treatment.
The program is located on just over 40 acres of land on The Bridge - Mobile campus Mobile County, Al.
Two distinct programs share the facilities, administrative and support staff services of the campus.
Bayview offers a highly structured program with an evidence-based curriculum.
The therapeutic model at Bayview combines several key components, including the Transtheoretical Model of Change, Motivational Interviewing, and Interactive Journaling.
Participants at Bayview use an interactive journaling tool called the KIDS Journal Series, created by The Change Companies.
KIDS stands for Keep it Direct and Simple, and the fifteen journals in the series explore issues specific to adolescents in chemical dependency and behavioral health treatment programs.
Bayview is a strong therapeutic program.
Clients have 1 to 2 individual counseling sessions each week, 8 hours of group therapy and 6 to 8 hours of basic living skills (BLS) training.
They also participate in at least one family counseling session per week.
Clients are offered at least 10 hours per week of recreational activities, as well as adventure therapy.
Bayview helps clients succeed academically through its self-contained education program, offered through Pointe Academy.
Each client's individual educational background and needs are assessed, and an appropriate program is designed that may include work toward a high school diploma or a GED, vocational interest inventories, job skills awareness, and life skills training.
The program also provides comprehensive medical care on campus through the Bayou Clinic and dental care through Dr. Gerald White, DDS.
Bayview outcomes managers maintain contact with each client for a full year after discharge.
We work with partners throughout the state to provide transitional services.
If a client relapses, we offer the Second Chance program.
Mission Statement: he mission of The Bridge is to provide treatment opportunities that inspire hope and promote positive, lasting change.
